How Do Semaglutide & Tirzepatide Work?

How Do Semaglutide & Tirzepatide Work?

Semaglutide and Tirzepatide mimic a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), which targets the area of the brain that regulates appetite. Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are both powerful appetite suppressant that also work by increasing the production of insulin,  inhibiting the production of glucagon, a hormone that increases blood sugar.

GLP 1 Mechanism of Action:

  • Delays the emptying of the stomach, leading to a feeling of fullness
  • Slows the contraction of muscles that propel food in the gastrointestinal tract
  • Lowers blood sugars
  • Stimulates the secretion of insulin by the pancreas

Besides weight loss, you may have some side effects such as nausea, which can be managed by adjusting the dosage.
